Fun times

It's been a busy few days.

Thursday we went to Paradise Pond, then to eat lunch with Mimi and after nap the boys went to hang out with Aunt Corie, Colton and Haden while I went back to the dentist for my post-op check.

Friday we had a playdate at a friends house from playgroup. In the afternoon we spent quite a bit of time walking the neighborhood so Riley could use his newly repaired tricycle.

Today we took a fun trip to the Dollar store, then Riley helped me make a sample of the craft I'm planning for my in home playdate. After nap we went to Decorator's Warehouse with Mimi where it was so fun to see the boys amazed and excited by all the cool Christmas decor. Then we went back to Mimi's house to help Papa pick up sticks(Xander decided to help pick up acorns instead) and to play with Mimi and Papa for awhile.

Painting cars and trucks

Today at Walmart I saw these wooden trains and cars that actually roll for 97 cents. I thought having the boys paint them would be a good craft. Riley wanted to do it as soon as we got home.

It was a fun inexpensive craft though if I do it again I need to use something other than watercolors.

Xander had fun at first but then wanted to get down and just play with his car. Riley still isn't done, I told him he could finish it after nap.

Riley's 3 year check up

So it's a month late but we had Riley's 3yr check up at the doctors today. The appointment went pretty well although both Riley and Xander took turns being scared.

Riley now weighs 40 lbs and is 42 inches tall. That makes him 99th percentile for height and 97th for weight. Basically he's a big but healthy boy.

Both boys enjoy playing with the beaded toy in the weighting room.

After the doctors we played on the steps and took an elevator ride.

Then we went to the park and to eat dinner with Grandma. Xander has now decided he loves to dip chips in ranch just like Riley.

Sidewalk Chalk

Today I let the boys draw with sidewalk chalk for the first time. They both really loved it. By the time they grew tired of it they were both covered in chalk but they had so much fun. Naomi was over too and I finally let her give it a try too.

Trying to get back to blogging

Here we go, let's see if I can make myself get back into the habit of blogging. I want to be able to keep a better log both verbally and with pictures of what the boys and I are up to and all the new things they are doing as they grow up.
